Miss Universe pageant is one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world. It is an international beauty pageant that is held only once every year. The Miss Universe 2009 is the 58th Miss Universe pageant. The pageant will be held be the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. The Miss Universe 2009 will be broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo. Miss Universe is being run by the Miss Universe Organization. The Miss Universe Organization, a New York-based partnership between NBC and Donald Trump, has run the contest since June 20, 2002. The current president is Paula Shugart.
