Glee is the newest addition on the TV series on Fox. Glee is a musical comedy that focuses on a high school glee club. The Glee is being compared to Disney Channel High School Musical, according to one critic, “…Glee is a High Musical with an edge.” The Glee becomes the serious competitor of the High School musical at it drews an average of 10 million viewers on its pilot episode last May 19, 2009.

The pilot episode got a mixed response. According to Alessandra Stanley commented about the unoriginality and stereotyped characters, but praising the showmanship and talent of the cast. The Daily News correspondent David Hinckley talk about the imperfection and implausibility but “potentially heartwarming”, and Mary McNamara predicted that the show will have a wide audience appeal, calling the Glee as “the first show in a long time that’s just plain full-throttle, no-guilty-pleasure-rationalizations-necessary fun”.

The show was created by Ryan Murphy, the same guy who created the “Nip/Tuck” and “Popular”. The plot of the show revolves upon the optimistic Spanish teacher as he tries to transform the McKinley High School’s Glee Club to be a top show choir of the world, just like it was before. The McKinley High School’s Glee Club used to be at the top of the show choir world, but years later, a series of scandals have turned it into a haven for misfits and social outcasts.

Matthew Morrison – He plays the role of Will Schuester, the McKinley High Spanish teacher who becomes the director of the Glee Club which they call New Direction. He had high hopes in restoring the Glee Club into its former glory.

Jane Lynch – She plays the role of Sue Slyvester, the head coach of the cheerleading squad called “Cheerios”. The Cheerios is the “arch-enemy” of the Glee Club. Sue Sylvester is the mean girl and she puts hard time on Will and New Direction members.

Jayma Mays – She plays the role of Emma Pillsbury. Emma is the school’s mysophobic guidance counselor who has unrequited feelings for Will. Emma’s relationship with Will will continue to grow, as “she has these moments of clarity when she’s talking to Will because he calms her.

Jessalyn Gilsig – She plays the role of plays Terri Schuester. Teri is Will’s demanding wife. Terri is a woman of conviction, so she’s going to do whatever it takes to keep her man, even if that means finding this woman and hunting her down.

Lea Michele – plays Rachel Berry, talented star of the Glee Club who is bullied by the Cheerios and football players. Rachel is a perfectionist firecracker who is convinced that show choir is her ticket to stardom

Cory Monteith – plays the role of Finn Hudson. Finn is star quarterback of the McKinly High football team who risks alienation by his friends to join the Glee Club. He got the with movie star looks and a Motown voice who must protect his reputation with his holier-than-thou girlfriend Quinn who is a cheerleader of Cheerios.

Amber Riley – plays the role of Mercedes Jones, a fashion conscious diva who refuses to sing back-up. According to her Beyonce doesn’t sing on backup.

Dianna Agron – she plays Quinn Fabray. Quinn is Finn’s girlfriend who is head of the Cheerios and celibacy club. Quinn joins the Glee Club on the second episode. Quinn is Rachel’s enemy.

Chris Colfer – he plays Kurt Hummel, a gay soprano singer with a flair for dramatic, who is bullied by the football team.

Kevin McHale – Plays the role of Artie Abrams, an electric guitar player and paraplegic manual wheelchair user. He spends time avoiding bullies rather than looking at girls.

Mark Salling – he plays the role of Noah “Puck” Puckerman, a friend of Finn’s on the football team who disapproves of Finn joining the Glee Club.

Glee is set in Lima, Ohio although most of the episodes are taken in Paramount studio in Hollywood. The series features covers of numerous songs sung on-screen by the characters. Musical segments take the form of performances, as opposed to the characters singing spontaneously, as the intention is for the series to remain “reality-based”. The series projected to feature a total of sixty songs for the first season.

Glee Season 1 will start airing on September 09, 2009.

The Forbes magazine had recently released the list of the top 12 richest young adults from the limelight. These young celebrities are raking millions and millions of dollars on contracts salaries plus their multi-million dollars product endorsement and appearances.

On the top of the list the is the R&B Diva Beyonce Knowles. This 27-years old R&B Superstar were reported to earn $87 million dollars from the period of June 1, 2008 to June 1, 2009. Following Beyonce is the Formula 1 racer, Kimi Raikkonen earning $45 million. The hunky F1 racer is just 29-years old. On the top 3 is the basketball superstar LeBron James, the 24-years old basketball icon is earning 40 million dollar.

Also included in the list are the teenage superstars like the Queen of Tweens Miley Cyrus, the sensational Jonas Brothers, Harry Potter…eerr..Daniel Radcliff, and Taylor Swift.

Liam Hensworth Kissing Miley Cyrus

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus was caught kissing a boy today.  After the announcement of break-up to her 9-months model boyfriend, Miley was caught kissing another guy.  The guy involve is obviously not her ex-bf Justin Gaston, nor the other ex-boyfried Nick Jonas.  The guy Miley caught kissing with, is Liam Hemsworth.

But the kiss is nothing personal, there’s no real-life romance between Miley and Liam.  The kiss is purely business, it is all for the sake of work.  The kiss was for scene of their upcoming movie The Last Song.  The Last Song is an adaptation from the novel written by seasoned dramatic author Nicholas Sparks.  Nicholas Sparks is the author of the best-selling novel and blockbuster movie A Walk To Remember and The Notebook.


The Last Song is all about a rebellious teenage girl who is sent to live with her estranged father.  The Last Song is being filmed in Savannah, Georgia.  On the movie Liam Hemsworth plays the love interest of Miley in the movie.  The two kissed while Liam lifted a wet Miley out of the water and into his arms.  The scene was filmed in Georgia too.

Lines, Vines and Trying Times Album Cover

Lines, Vines and Trying Times is the fourth studio album of pop-rock boyband Jonas Brothers. Jonas Brothers is composed of the siblings Kevin, Joe and Nick who are mainstay talent of Disney Channel. The boys have been gaining popularity in tween audience since their debut movie Camp Rock. Their newest album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times is released under Hollywood records.

Mr. President Nick Jonas explained the title, Lines, Vines and Trying Times as a bit of poetry that they came up with on the set for their TV show J.O.N.A.S! According to Nick, “Lines are something that someone feeds you, whether it’s good or bad. Vines are the things that get in the way of the path that you’re on, and trying times — well, obviously we’re younger guys, but we’re aware of what’s going on in the world and we’re trying to bring some light to it.”

The Jonas Brothers has already started promoting the album on their 2009 world tour which began last May 18, 2009 in Lima, Peru. The album carrier single is the song “Paranoid.” Paranoid was previously featured in the JONAS! TV show. Included in the Lines, Vines and Trying Times is the track which was featured in the end credit of the blockbuster movie hit Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

The track Before The Storm is the controversial duet of Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus, which according to some rumors were the reason of Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston breakup, is also included in the album. Miley and Nick collaborated in writing the song Before The Storm. Lines, Vines and Trying Times is set to be released in US on June 16, 2009.

Marquez vs. Mayweather

This year is a great year of boxing, manna of boxing seems to pour from the heavens.  Gracious god of boxing world seems to bestow that 2009 would be a grand year for boxing.  Boxing critics called this year as the modern renaissance of boxing, the rebirth of boxing as one of the greatest sport.

Right after the sensational fight of Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton last May 2, the Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather Jr., announces it comeback to boxing ring.  Mayweather “retired” from boxing last year and ventured into several publicity stunts.  On his return from his so-called retirement Mayweather will have to face the Mexican Numero Uno Juan Manuel Marquez.  After 11 months of retirement Floyd Mayweather Jr. un-retire himself to face the Juan Manuel Marquez this coming July 18 on the Mayweather vs. Marquez: “NUMBER ONE/NUMERO UNO”


Mayweather vs. Marquez is the most awaited fight in the boxing scene this summer.  It will be a head-on fight between the Number One and Numero Uno.  Both of the boxers are the best on their own weight classes.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr., the Number One in Welterweight Divison.  He is undefeated with record of 39 wins 25 of which is on way of knock-out, 0 draw, and 0 losses.  Floyd is a six-time world champion in five weight divisions before his so-called “retirement”.  Before Pacquiao beat Hatton, Mayweather was universally considered as the best pound for pound fighter in the world.  He is indeed the Number One.

Meanwhile, Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez, is the Numero Uno in Lightweight Division.  He has a very impressive record of 50 wins 37 of which is on way of knockout, 4 losses, and 1 draw.  Dinamita is a five-time world champion in three divisions, a Numero Uno on his own right.

Juan Manuel Manuel had 1 draw and 1 loss (in a split decision) against Pacquiao, Mayweather beat Hatton in 10 rounds while Pacquiao beat Hatton in just 2 rounds.  If Marquez got a draw with Pacquiao who flattened Hatton in a mere 2 rounds, in which Mayweather take a long 10 rounds to beat, the Mayweather vs. Marquez fight will be one of the most interesting match up.
