The Princess and the Frog is an animated movie which is “almost” based on the novel The Frog Princess written by E.D. Baker. The Princess and the Frog is the first theatrically released 2D, since Home On Range (2004) animation by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The movie is directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Musker and Clements were the director of great animated movies like Little Mermaid, Hercules, Aladdin among others.

Anika Noni Rose will lend her voice as Tiana, the 19-years-old waitress and aspiring chef, while Bruno Campos will be Prince Naveen. Prince Naveen is the an early twenty-something gregarious, smooth-talking, and fun-loving prince who comes to the French Quarter for the Jazz scene and with whom Tiana and Charlotte (Jennifer Cody) fall in love. Prince Naveen was transformed by Dr. Facilier (Keith David) into a frog. Oprah Winfrey also in this movie as Eudora, Tiana’s mother

The Princess and the Frog is schedule to open in limited released in New York and Los Angeles on November 35, 2009 and will be released worldwide on December 11, 2009.

Synopsis of the Movie:

A prince named Naveen from the land of Maldonia is transformed into a frog by the evil scheming voodoo magician Dr. Facilier. The frog prince mistakes a girl named Tiana for a princess and has her kiss him to break the spell. However, the kiss doesn’t break the spell, but instead turns Tiana into a frog as well. Together, the two of them must reach the good voodoo priestess of the Bayou, named Mama Odie, while befriending a trumpet-playing alligator and a hopelessly romantic firefly along the way.
